Mashinga panha sannapolo or spicy drumstick leaves dosa is a popular G.S.B cuisine.Same dosa may be prepared with cabbage,onion,fenugreek leaves,drumstick flowers etc.The best combination is Daali thoy, rice and sannapolo.I prepared small dosas in my uttappam pan which looked cute and inviting.I adapted this recipe from my Amma.
Ingredients to be ground:
Chana dal- 1/2 cup
Rice- 11/2 cup
Coconut - 3 tbsp,grated
Long red chillies-8 approx(roasted in a tsp of oil)
Short red chillies-3(roasted in 1/2 tsp oil)
Tamarind- a pinch
Salt - to taste
Drumstick leaves- 2 cups or more(picked and washed)
Oil- as much required to smear dosa
- Soak rice and chana dal for an hour or two.
- Drain the water completely and grind it with all the other ingredients.
- Make a medium thick batter,add drumstick leaves and make dosa's using oil and roasting on both the sides.
- Serve it with the main course.
