This is the simplest of the recipe.When you are lost in the kitchen on what to cook for the day,this is a quick fix.I prepared this with Punjabi rajma chawal as an accompaniment.This goes well with chapathi or roti too.You may adjust the spices as per your choice.
Bhendi/ladys finger-10,cut into medium pieces
Carrot-1,cut into fingers
Chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder-1/4 tsp
Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Fennel seeds-few seeds(10-12 approx)
- Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds and fry for a second.
- Add onions,carrot,bhendi, all the powders and salt to taste.
- Saute it for sometime,close the lid,lower the flame and cook for few minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or roti,
