As a kid Amma used to prepare lassi for my sake as I wasn't consuming curds or any milk products in  direct form..I have also tasted flavoured  lassi like mango,strawberry,Kesar etc.All you have to do is dump in few slices of fruit while blending which is very healthy.Few years back I had lassi in Mumbai with loads of dry fruits,kesar and butter.You may relish it that way too.Lassi is a popular drink of Punjab,where Punjabi's relish it with Parathas with their breakfast.My favourite among lassi is sweet lassi.Some prefer salt lassi too...I prepare sweet lassi and give to my son very often.This is a simple recipe of sweet lassi.This is how my Amma used to prepare.You may use your own imagination and prepare this yogurt based drink,Lassi.

Curds-1/2 lt
Sugar-4 tbsp
Ice cubes-3-4


  1. Add all the ingredients in the blender and whip for 2-3 minutes until frothy.
  2. Don't over beat as it might release butter.
  3. Serve it chilled.
