Ambuli chutney(Raw mango chutney)

Ambuli means raw mango.This chutney is a common chutney of the GSB cuisine and there are different variations of the recipe.This is most commonly prepared during the raw mango season which has already started.When you lose appetite this is the best dish to accompany with.This makes a great side dish.Please check my Batate Ambuli gojju.We also store the raw mangoes in the brine during the season for nearly a year  and use it whenever required to make gojju's and chutney's.

Coconut-1/2 cup,grated
Long fried chilly-3
Green chilly-1 (optional)
Garlic-2-3 flakes
Salt-to taste
Raw mango pieces-1/4 cup(remove the green skin of the mango and dice only  the white part)
Oil-1 tsp

  1. Grind grated coconut,chilly and garlic to a fine paste.
  2. Lastly add mango pieces and salt to taste and grind further for a minute.
  3. Transfer the chutney to a bowl and add a dash of oil and mix it.
  4. You may also add the mango seed for extra taste.
  5. You may also add only green chillies according to your taste instead of red chillies or vice versa.
